[Sat. Feb 9th @ 9am] Gaithersburg Java Run
Coffee and a nice Saturday drive - sounds like fun!
Meetup at 9AM at the Java Junction, which is located at the train station in downtown Gaithersburg.
Drive would begin at 10:30, with routes through upper MoCo and maybe a dip into VA and WVA.
Members and non-members welcome. No RSVP required. PM me with any questions!

It definitely sounds like fun indeed.
Participants, please have your name on the list so the organizer will have an idea of how long the caravan line is going to be.
I found this information:

any idea of how long the run would last? not that it really matters, just to get an idea of what else i can plan for that day. also, would we be returning to Java Junction after the run or would it end somewhere else? just so i can know where to get directions home from as ive never been to gaithersburg. thanks in advance for any info.
thanks for such a speedy response. it doesnt really matter where it ends, im flexible. i would just like to know ahead of time so i can mapquest it. whatever is decided, let me know. and thanks again.
For me, 2 hours to 2 1/2 hours is a perfect length.
With the average of 35 miles/hour, plus a short break in between the run. The run of 70 miles (+ or - 10) is about right.

I saw part of the route today...... hint...hint..
This is will be a fun run indeed.
Went out and did a dry run yesterday. Unfortunately, a lot of my favorite roads are in poor shape right now - lots of crumbling shoulders and potholes. I've got a pretty good one going, though.
Tentative plan is to meetup at 9AM, hit the road at 10:30, stop for lunch at the Brunswick diner, and return.

unfortunately, it looks like i wont be able to make this one. i know i told you guys when we met at panera that i would be there, but it just so happens that i have a test that day for martial arts. so i'll have to catch the next one.
Wait, I just remembered family's not coming till noon, so Eric and I can make it for coffee at least. Then I can see everyone and chat a little bit. See everyone at 9! (MrMellowYellow-glad you and Bev will be able to make it!)

you can buy them from just about any electronics retailer...BestBuy, Circuit City, Radio Shack...even big box stores have 'em. Just make sure the set you buy has subsets for each channel. Most runs use Channel 7, subset 21.

I am going out right now and washing Cecilia. LOVE working nights and not working every day!!
