I went last night as well. I think the Clubman looked better in person than the pictures. Its really growing on me. But I'm really tempted by the 1 Series. It would probably have to be a 128i though so I'll have to test drive one first to see if it comes close to matching the excitment of the 135i or a Cooper S.

More of my thoughts on the show can be seen by clicking the link in my signature.

We're going Saturday and plan to be there when the doors open. I wish we could have gone on a weekday.....

I still haven't ordered a mini yet, but I'm not on the fence. I just like car shows and want to check out some of the rides.

Can't go tomorrow as planned. I have to give a presentation. So, I guess I will have to brave the crowds on Saturday. I'll try to get there when the doors open.

I can't go Saturday as planned, instead I will be there on Sunday, hoping the crowds are not too bad.

Changed back to going on Sat. Last time I went I swore I would never go back, but I made the mistake of driving all the way there. I'm coming from Richmond so I thought I would drive to Springfield to the Park and Ride and take the Metro from there. For anyone that lives in that area are there any better areas to park and catch the Metro? Thanks!!!!!

I was there last night too, saw Krut hard at work.

Not sure about the Clubman...the GT-R though

Would you happen to have pictures of that Maxicooper?

Unfortunately, I don't.

I have only half an hour. I jump in and jump out not much chance to walk around though.

I like this little beast.

I like the GT-R as well.

I'm glad I went. I got to see the PW color in person (I was on the fence about color, and I hadn't seen a PW yet).

I was able to quickly compare other cars I was considering, but nothing else really stood out.

Alan (Scavenger), Kattiya (Alan's wife) and I went to the DC auto show today - it was fun. I have to say, I was more impressed with the Clubman changes than I expected. The extra side door, barn doors, and boot storage flap (to create a level loading area when the seats are folded) were all very impressive. They seemed to be built well, very solid.

I think they're going to sell a lot of Clubmans in the USA.

I took a few pictures, if anyone is interested (larger versions in my NAM gallery):

I was working in the Grand Lobby off of Mt. Vernon - helping people get in the right queue, helping them find various waypoints in the building etc..

Black turtleneck with an "Ask Me" button on! I left the button at work.

We had approximately 80,000 people there yesterday. Craziness.

......I think they're going to sell a lot of Clubmans in the USA.

I am told the Clubman is selling better than expected in EU.. which means longer waiting periods in US ..
Ours ' Luna" should arrive in two or three weeks..

I did not see anything "very special" at the show and was disappointed in seeing the 135i from distance only .. I really like that little car

Actually, there are 2 Clubmans on display. One right upfront (blue) and the other in the back of the MINI display (red). Make me wondering how could one has missed it.

What is the red color?

2 of the MINIs at the show had an awesome metallic deep red, almost brick red color. What color is that? Not Chili Red, which is non-metallic and a truer red. Just curious, I can't find it on the configurators...

one question though, there was the JCW car in the back, what color was that?! Astro Black? Cuz it looked really good.
