Intro (Teen) Driving School
Intro (Teen) Driving School
I'm a DFW MINI owner, looking for an intro/teen driving school for my teenage brother that lives in the DC area. He's already on his second Honda (the first did not go peacefully, due to a pair of trees off of Little River Turnpike) and is looking to get some performance parts. My thought was that a bit of instruction would benefit him. Around here, BMWCCA sponsors a one-day school aimed at teens known as Street Survival; it's set up on a parking lot, with an AX-style course, skidpad, etc. Anyway, that's the kind of thing I had in mind. Any thoughts from my DC-Metro compatriots regarding such as school?
There is a local group called Car Guys that offers a teen driving program called Decisive Driving. Check out http://www.decisivedriving.com/
Also, my sister took a course called Driver's Edge, which is similar in format to Street Survival. They have events all around the country throughout the year, and come to the DC area every so often. http://www.driversedge.com/
Sign up on their website and they will e-mail you when they're coming to your area.
