I ordered them from these guys:

http://www.lettersunlimited.com/fonts_serif.htm

1/2" height, premium vinyl, cardinal red. $25 minimum order. I have one set of red dates extra which I will gladly sell for $10.

Did anyone else noticed that one decal has an extra "hair" in the lion's mane? When I installed mine I removed the extra so they were both the same.

I thought one of mine was defective but Ed's are also slightly different

Good eye Brian! I'll leave the extra on mine since I like the one with the extra lock (?) better than the one without.

I've tried searching (unsuccessfully) for the track outlines. Can you guys clue me in on these? Thanks much.

Has anyone heard back from FandSenterprises.com about their personal photo gallery? I sent in a request a week ago and haven' heard anything.

I did hear back from the other photographer (ed) immediately so I'm wondering if my email got lost.

I had paid the $45 at the track and my CD took 10 (not the indicated 5) business days to arrive. Not bad photos, I'm happy.

I do like the quality of the other guy's photos, but I don't like that he'll have his watermark all over them. I'm not inclined to pay $25 to promote/advertise his business.

Maybe I'm wrong, but generally the watermark is there so you can't just lift the photo off the net. The photos you get after paying shouldn't have them.

I think the watermark stays

From the email - you decide what it means:

The image usage rights are as follows for the CD:

Image Usage Rights

Standard images come with a watermark. In general, you can use standard images
for any personal use, except where personal or for-profit business gain results.
Electronic distribution is strictly limited.

What you can do:
  • You can create prints and use them for any purpose, except where personal
    or for-profit busines gain results.
  • You can sell prints for raising funds for the benefit of any church, charity,
    or other non-profit group.
  • You can use images on products and merchandise for personal use, gifts,
or for raising funds for the benefit of any church, charity, or other non-profit group.
  • You can use images on your PC, for example for desktop wallpaper or screen saver.
You can use images on your website subject to restrictions as follows:
(emphasis above mine)

I presume I could pay more money for something other than standard images to remove the watermark.

I ordered my F&S CD from the track and I just got them today! I had a total of 26 shots of my Mini and they are pretty cool! They came in a DVD case with a photo of VIR on it the name of the event, etc. He did misspell Wicks without the 's' hehe. I will post some photos samples from the event!

BTW, I did write to Ed and I haven't gotten a response back. He is apparently on a trip somewhere without e-mail access. No return date was given.

SWEEEEEEET I guess I will have to order a set for my car. There is one of me at high speed where the Mini is in focus but the wheels/background are a blur. Gotta be one of my favorites.

Thanks for posting these PlayPlay

Just got my CD from Ed Dean yesterday. Woohoo!!!

The CD had the photos broken down into two different groups:

Full Resolution photos are 2505x1789 with NO watermark.

and

Web Pictures photos that are 640x457 WITH the watermark.

Both sets include the same two folders. One folder contains photos of just my car (9 total pictures) and the other folder contains photos of all the cars from the track that day (127 total photos).

Ed Dean has been really pleasant to work with and in a nice touch, he even put a photo of my MINI on the CD label.

I'd say it was totally worth the $25 (plus $3.50 shipping).

Okay, after NOT hearing from F&S Enterprises for a couple weeks, I resent a request for a Personal Gallery. I heard back within hours this time with them telling me that my gallery would be available within a week.

Laura said she got a quick reply as well so if you haven't heard back from them by now, I'd recommend resending your request. We're guessing the emails are getting lost somehow.

Thanks for letting me know about my gallery, Brian. I got your post before I got their email.

Oh, you're right. That photo where I thought your arm was hanging out the window was actucally your mirror cap blending with your shirt! Guess I should've looked closer. And here I thought you were totally relaxed going around the track.
