I think the weather will be fine. It's looking more like any snow won't start until the evening. The morning and afternoon should be alright. I'm planning on being there!

If there's not too much salt on the roads from today and Scavenger's weather report is accurate then we'll be there , but if there's any precip, we're out

I'm washing the car tomorrow regardless, it's still all brown and dirty from the last weeks constant precip. I'll still be there.

Oh well, Still haven't got a confirmation for our reservation from British Pantry. It still on a waiting list.

We might have to come up with plan B, just in case.

Especially since we usually eat outside. Perhaps straight on to plan B may be the way to go now since it is Thursday already. That place is pretty small inside.

Menu looks good, I love a good Lamb Rogan Josh or Chicken Madras followed by a Mango Lassi !

I'll be there regardless (unless we get ice) though I might be in the CR-V instead of my favorite wheels

Ok The MINI was designed for cold weather you wusses...... well the tin tops were anyway !!!

Come on don't let a little chance of bad weather put us all off.... we can always wash our shiny MINI's again... just think about you and your MIN all alone... oh how you can touch, rub, fondle, cuddle, kiss, lick your baby clean (I am referring to the MINI silly) so that we can get them back to a mirror finish again. I'll be there that is for sure.... thinking about a new one.... BRG / BLK this time...Maybe i will find a rock or a pot of gold with $25K under it on the way to MOS....

Either way I think hot chocolates are in the order for the day ...... and if you are lucky I MAY bring some Aussie TimTams....

That just made my evening !

Here's how it is mate, you aussies must not know what that salt does to our cute little paint jobs and I love the look of all those shiny bits underneath, but I suppose the number one reason is:

Those other blokes/sheilas that are on the road around our wonderful little town of Washington D.C. are just plain scary, the damage and deductable are just too high (at least on my little budget)

It looks like the weather will work for us ! So, Wensley should be present ! (I think She likes the idea that she smells like a Tandoori for days after the fact )

Cheers and looking forward to seeing everyone !

Ok Maybe the salt is a valid concern, but for the other drivers... well they are like cones, fun to drive around no need to be scared... our MINI are like hockey pucks.... we will not be too bad off if some one hits us, we will just bounce off anything and keep going. And if my memory serves me correctly (and maybe i have killed off too many brain cells from drinking fosters). If some one hits you there is no deductable for you to pay... Just make sure you choose a place that will re allign your your car nicely... and hey just thought, when they hand it back it will be clean too....

Hooroo mate

Unfortunately, I am not going to make it to the MoS breakfast, and it has nothing to do with the weather. Some of you will recall me mentioning (in the last few months) the datacenter move I am involved with at work...
well, that move was postponed several times... and we're finally getting it done - this weekend. Starting this evening, going to extend into a big chunk of tomorrow, and hopefully be done by early afternoon tomorrow.

I'm bummed about missing the breakfast, especially since MoS is my "home" dealership and the easiest breakfast for me to make it to.

Say hi to my cars while you're there. That's right, both of them are at MoS! (I recently parked the Mustang there when I swapped cars into a MINI loaner, because of the snow last week. I was going to switch back, but the news of likely snow this weekend delayed that).

Hey, even if I can't be there, at least my vehicles can represent.

Well now... us Aussies are all regionalized... If you were born and bread in:

WA (Perth) Emu Bitter
SA (Adelaide) Coopers
Vic (Melbourne) VB, MB for Calton
TASMAINA (Hobart) Cascade
NSW (Sydney) Toohies
QLD (Brisbane) XXXX
NT (Darwin) Metholated Spirits
ACT (Canberra) All beers except fosters

As you can see Aussie's don't really drink forsters... it is made for export only and mainly for the USA market... (no one knows beer more than an Aussie)

I grew in in Canberra.... (which for readers that don't know is the Capital City...) So my favourates (yes again spelt correctly there is a U in that word)... I mainly drank VB, MB and Toohies old...

Coopers is just an OK beer ... execpt if you grew up in SA you are not really a cooper beer fan.... so unfortunately mate, I am not a big fan of coopers beer... it is a shame I Know...
However maybe I will buy a case of Coopers, use the liquid inside to clean my toilets with and refill the bottles with MB (Melbourne Bitter) so I will look the part...... hehehehehe

However the name (Cooper) is good that is why we are all here... There now you know a little more about us Aussies....

Hooroo mate...

Oh yeah, forgot

Foster's.....Canadian for Beer, at least that was the last place I saw it being brewed at.

Surely not the greatest brew (I like Newcastle, Old Speckled Hen, Old P, Green King and Flowers) but back in the day when Fosters sponsered F-1, those Foster girls were quite nice !

This year, '08 St Paddy's day run, will be on Sun, Mar 16th. More detail will come up in the calendar soon.

My car's been in the body shop once already. I don't feel any particular need to repeat that. On the other hand I know where a MINI's been sitting for 9 months if anybody needs parts after snow induced damaged. Uh, except for the stereo, that doesn't work.

BUT, Doug Hill now says ( as of 6:30) nothing till mid afternoon. So I can probably bring the MINI vs. the truck anyway!
