VA Emissions Testing?

I just received, for my registrations renewal, notification that I must obtain an emissions test on my MINI. As this is the first time I need it on my MINI (2005, purchased in 2005), and the first time I've ever had to do this in Virginia, can anyone give me some advice here?

I usually go to MoS for annual inspection. Can I go there for emissions? Or should I stop by some random gas station that has a sign out front? I recall that MINIs run on the high side for emissions. I doubt a 2005 would fail, but I would hate for some service station guy to try to take advantage of me/my car.

Any advice?

I have always just gone to the local gas station. Never any issues with inspection or emisssions in VA with the MINI.

I'll second Jen's comment.
I am a big fan of going to the dealership, but...
Why go through all the trouble of making an appointment and the drive when you can go to almost any corner gas station. The price is set by the state so there is no savings. I would only go to the dealership if there was other work that needed to be done.
