[Sun, Oct 7th, 9am.] Burtonsville get together & Cars show.
I would like to let everyone know that every Sunday there is a big hotrod/musclecar/exotics get together at the old Burtonsville Shopping Center off of Rt198. They usually start to fill up the lot at around 9:30am. When I can, I try to stop over and show off Wenslydale for an hour or so. Another DCMMer "Ben" shows up with his CR '06 MCSC too.
It might be fun to make it a morning get together and show off our cars. October 7th might be good ? I would advise getting there early (8:00am) if we want to all park together, it fills up fast !
Cheers,
Mike

Great !
Come on DCMMer's lets get a good showing, I know my Wensleydale has attracted attention at this "car show" so I can imagine how it would go if we had a whole group. Again, its not a whole day commitment, just the a.m. Most start to depart from the lot at 10:30-11:00
There is a Dunkin Donuts at the shopping center that caters to the car buffs so there's food and drink available.

I'm not much of a coffee drinker
but wifey is so that might be a good idea. I'll see if she wants to tag along. She's a musclecar nut and I've been trying to get her to come out to see the cars that show up, so she might.
There is a remote chance I might get out there this Sunday too, but I may have to work. I took off the first week in October for some de-stressing
so no work or plans on Sunday Oct 7th. I'm booked on the 6th, otherwise I'd join in the run.
Cheers,
Mike
BTW: I've seen at least a dozen Cobras show up, Lotus', Sunbeams, Austins and quite a few Ferrari's too, its quite an interesting mix of rides.....

I didn't even know this thing existed. Good find and we go to the Amish market a lot. It's a great place. Its great to buy meats and get breakfast first thing on Saturday morning. Maybe we'll come (then again, nobody wants to see a Toyota

) Who's got a R56 to bring, I'd like to see one.Last edited by chows4us; Sep 12, 2007 at 01:35 PM.
I see them all gathering every Sunday when I am on my way home from working...If I wern't soo darn tired when I get home, I would stop by some day.

Be careful though about how you get there because they totally changed the intersection of 29 & 198, at least from 29 access they made a bypass. I assume your coming in from the south from I95? Then get off at 32, head west, cross over 29, and right after the interchange you can take the first right into the parking lot (kind of like the back entrance to the strip mall).

)From I95, you should take 198 West (not 32), go under a new rt.29 cross-over bridge, then make a right at the first intersection (Columbia Pike). Amish market will be on the left, Starbucks will be on the right (behind KFC).

We'll start at 9:00am, although if you can get there earlier, do so, the lot does fill up quickly. We should meet at the North end of the lot since it fills up last.
My wife is working out the details for the scones and tea (Yorkshire gold - though I prefer a bit of Earl Grey
)
We're thinking to make a small run at 12:00pm to get lunch (The Amish market is closed on Sunday's) maybe Ellicott City ?
I'm not much of a run director, there are a few backroads through Howard County and Ellicott City that I know which can be fun but there is a bit of dead road between them.
I'm open to suggestions
Cheers,
Mike
