I'll be there, regardless of whether I'm a participant or just a spectator.
I'll be happy to use my 2005 JCW MINI, however I would defer to a stock 2006 factory JCW as I believe the results would be more valuable (vs. my dealer-upgraded JCW).

I can make the 22nd with 06 JCW MCS 6-speed (factory JCW) and about 9K miles. However, if I don't make the cut I will most likely road trip elsewhere.
I also forwarded a reply by PM. I was on a road trip (Harley) the last 7 days and missed the notice of the confirmed date.

Anyone had experience with Ultimate and Mach V for Dyno's?
See below from the dyno waiver; the part at states:
"including negligence, breach of contract or breach of any statutory duty of care"
concerns me. Not clear to me if “tuning” will also be performed.
Seems that someone could be totaly negligent, damage the car and walk away from it! Not good
Comments welcome.
Thanks

Ultimate Performance, LLC (“Ultimate”), and Mach V Motorsports, LLC (“Mach V”), will make all attempts to keep your car in good working order, but dyno sessions are strenuous on any vehicle. The combination of high load and repeated full-throttle application MAY lead to damage to the car’s engine, driveline, or other parts. Furthermore, “tuning” of a car (modifying fuel, boost, and timing settings) to extract additional horsepower intentionally removes factory safety margins that are designed to protect your car, and the chance of damage occurring during a tuning session is even higher than for a car with stock settings.
By signing this document, you agree that Ultimate and Mach V shall be held blameless for any damage to your car sustained during or any time after a dyno session. You acknowledge that damage to the vehicle is a distinct possibility, and that this risk is one you are taking of your own accord. You agree to waive any and all claims you may have in the future against Ultimate or Mach V and their representatives with respect to this activity, and you release Ultimate and Mach V and their representatives from any and all liability for any personal injury, death, property damage, expense and related loss, including loss of income, which you may suffer as a result of your participation in this activity, due to any cause whatsoever, including negligence, breach of contract or breach of any statutory duty of care.

Don't sweat the "tuning" part. This is a stock MINI dyno test... in other words, no tuning, either before or during the dyno tests.
More often than not, dynos are used as a tool to measure tuning... make adjustments, dyno again, etc.
Obviously that isn't part of this project, so you can just disregard the "tuning" section.

i am lazy and it was probably posted somewhere on here, but what kind of dyno are you using? is it a drive-up onto dyno or one of those portable dynopack units. the portable units seem like they take FOREVER to set up each car. That could really create downtime.
word.
