I may be putting my dearest Penny up for sale within the next several months. Before I finalize details and start posting her "for sale" ad in the NAM marketplace, I thought I'd post a feeler here where the DCMMers dawdle, as she's been a very popular lady at the local events. (Hot Orange tends to draw a bit of attention!)

I am her second owner. The original purchaser lived in NoVA and bought her brand spankin' new from MoS. Then the weirdo... *ahem* "gentleman"... traded her in at Brown's Nissan of Sterling , where I was delighted to take her from the lot only 3.5 months ago.

Reason for putting Penny up for adoption: I'm "upgrading". My roommate and I have three cars between us. I'll be taking on his HO MCCa ("Decker" - some of you may have met him), which has a Nav System and all sorts of other bells and whistles Penny doesn't posses, instead of allowing him to sell it to the highest bidder.

While it looks super cute to have two HO MINIs in our driveway, especially when they're parked nose-to-nose (kissing!), it would be a smart financial move to downsize a bit.

So... anyone interested? Shall I save Penny for a DCMMer, or throw her to the wolves in the NAM marketplace and/or autotrader.com/cars.com?

Naw! I love MINIs too much to bow out of ownership entirely. Instead of mods, I'm just buying a whole other HO MCCa! Lol! Now THAT'S a serious move!

I can't wait! Bonnet stripes, HK Sound, Nav System, iPod adapter, Premium/Sport/CW Packages... I'll be in MINI heaven!

 

Well, as soon as you can get a price figured out and posted, that will probably get a little more interest = )

I have a few people I could pass it along to...have you had to take Penny in for much in the way of warranty covered repair? I only ask as you're coming pretty close to being out of coverage...

I'll get some photos taken later this week. I don't have any good close-up shots of her, and I only have a camera phone to work with. This oughta be interesting!

 

I'll sort out pricing this week. As for the warrenty work... I haven't had her in the shop yet. I've only owned her for a few months! She's got an oil change coming up soon, so I'll be sure to have the dealership give her a good once-over while she's in. I'll make sure that anything due will be done then.
