Newb with another Class Question - SCCA & BMW Club

So I have a 2006 MCS with the sport package. The only change from stock are KONI FSD shocks and I have Michelin Pilot Exalto 205/45/17's on the stock minilite 17 inch wheels. Reading the class description for SCCA I believe this is still a "stock" classification and I can not change the rear sway bar.

For BMW Club using their IMF form and classification I end up with 108 points and would be in C Class

06 MCS Sport = 107
Nonstock shocks (KONI FSD) = +1 (only +1 because I have the sport)
Total = 108

I think the 108 score puts me in the 104 to 120 score range for class C. I want to make sure I understand where I fit given the tires and shocks I am running. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kevin

For 2012 you can change either the front or rear sway bar but not both in SCCA stock. The shocks are allowed. The tires are more suitable for the new road tire class (or perhaps a street tire class unique to your region.)

The 17s are technically not SCCA stock legal but its probably not a big deal locally on street tires, especially since the S-lites are bricks.

Were there no factory 17" wheels available on an "S" model in 2006?

I had thought all of the 17s were dealer options until 2012, but I could be wrong.

The 17" S-lites were a factory option since the beginning, though I'm not sure when the first optional 17's were available on Coopers... but there have been several over the years.

Here's a good source for that info.

My 06 came with 17" S-lites from the factory.
