Any experience? Looking for 17 inch Winter RF that is not quite as dedicated as a Blizzak for my 2015 CM All4S. Blizzaks were awesome on my Passat wagon, but too noisy - wanting to extend the season just a tad either side of winter because the OEMS are really summer RFs and I still have a lot of tread wear on those.
Winter is coming? As the thermometer hit 70 degrees, I swapped my 19s summer wheels for my 17s. I just purchased 205/55R-17 PIRELLI WINTER SOTTOZERO SERIE II RUN FLATs from TireRack and shipped directly to my MINI dealership to install/balance for $160. Although I did not think I needed an alignment, the specs seems to show I needed it (see attached), especially with new tires (MINI dealership for $150).
I thought they would be noisy based on reviews but they are basically the same as my all-seasons I just replaced. (They are actually quieter than my 19s performance tires.)
