I drive with stock 19s for summer and stock 17s for winter and long trips. Personally the 19s run flats have annoying road noise and the 17s run flats are much quieter and a smoother ride.

Any suggestions for a spare 17 R124 Double Spokes 5 Star Wheel 17" (5x120) Anthracite tire? I would like to have a spare wheel/tire for long cross country trips but the dealership wants over $500 for one wheel/tire/tire pressure sensor/center cap! I researched a 16 inch steel or even the MINI countryman space saver spare but neither will fit JCW brakes. The smallest I can go is 17s.

The cheapest new I found was at ESC for $258 for the wheel only (no sensor/no center cap).

 

i believe a 16 will fit the rear

a front flat would require 2 tires to be changed but is workable
