18x8" with what offset? If about 45mm then-

For the Countryman then about 225/45-18 using stock suspension

For the R50/R53/R56 then about 205/40-18 or 215/35-18 using stock suspension

 

Thanks for the reply. I recently added a 2013 JCW Countryman and have some white 18x8 e46 Team Dynamics wheels on a boat headed over from the UK. I was leaning towards the 225/45/18 size.

 

225/45-18 is factory size. I've heard that 235's will work but haven't tried them. Maybe do a forum search.

 

Curious - what are you doing with the stock 18" JCW rims? (feel free to PM me)

 

My car came with 19x7.5" wheels, but my new wheels are 18x8".

 

Oh, I see; the 18's seem to be the sweet spot for rim size.

Confirming that 225/45-18 is the OEM size - there's another thread about 50 series if you're looking for more sidewall.
