Has anyone tried lightweight rims on a Countryman justa?

I'm curious to know if any has tried putting lightweight wheels on a Countryman justa. If you tried them, was there a noticeable performance difference?

Hi, I notice a difference the moment I had the Prodrive 18" rims fitted. Stock was 18" too. The difference is only the move off stand still which the car feels 'lighter' to 'take off' Prodrive is ard 7kg per rims without tyres.

I imagine the performance will be greatly improved, as the stock mini wheels are quite heavy. The 17" 5-star spokes are ~ 23lbs(10.5kg). Complete that with lighter tires (non run flat) and you could probably save 10-15 lbs per corner.

I actually logged in to find some light weight options. Good luck.

I saw a very noticeable difference on my Subaru when I shed 5lbs per wheel and tire. I know the stock 5-star 17" wheels weigh 10.5kg(23lbs) so I imagine with a lightweight wheel and tire (non run flat) you could save 5-10lbs per corner. Should see a good result in acceleration and fuel efficiency.

You'll likely see a slight improvement in acceleration, a small increase in fuel economy
(more if you do a lot of stop and go driving, less if it's mostly highway or steady
speed driving), but you'll notice a bigger improvement in ride and handling over
less than perfectly smooth roads, and yes, it's worth doing.

Are the ProDrive rims still available? Can't seem to find them anywhere.

I did it on my Cooper (non-s) R50 and saved 8lbs. per wheel. It was the most hp gain of all my mods. There was a website called wheelweights.net that listed the weights of the wheels I was considering. I kept my oem wheels for winter wheels.

I also just got some lighter weight wheels on my JCW Countryman but the results weren't as noticeable on this car.
