Tire pressure

I just replaced a tire and checked the pressure on all 4 afterwards. The local shop put 35psi in the one tire they replaced. I noticed the other 3 which have never been touched have 42 psi from the dealer/factory. The door jam says 32 psi. So what are everyone recommendations?

I think 42 psi is too high, but probably better than the 21 psi all around that was in our MINI when we picked it up from the dealer.

MINI probably recommends 32 psi for a somewhat more compliant ride, but some here apparently like a little more firmness; maybe something close to your local shop's 35 psi. I try to keep our '06 MC's tires at about 34 psi cold.
