What you all missed....
What you all missed....
The first meet and greet Country Roads MINIs took place today, May 5th at Almost Heaven Desserts in Bridgeport, WV. Five people were in attendance and in spite of the rain, all of us showed up in our MINIs. It was a great meeting and plans for future drives were discussed. All the while have some great food and drink, everything was talked about from tires to superchargers to general MINI talk.
So I guess this makes us part of the Country Roads MINIs club here in North Central West Virginia. YeeHaw!
Some of the future drives will include Canaan Valley to Davis and Thomas; Berkley Springs; some misc. roads in the state and maybe one day the Tail of the Dragon that showcases 11 miles of road with 318 curves!
A fall leaves drive is for sure on our calendar.
Look for more information as we recruit more MINI owners to our group that is totally informal and fun. I hope to post some upcoming drives sometime in June. So join in and join us for some great times. Thanks to John, Lee, Mark, Dan and Joyce for being there. It was great.

Thanks for doing the detail work for our most recent meet and greet. We had a great time and enjoyed meeting everyone! The sky's the limit for great drives nearby. With US 50 East, Bridgeport is a great jumping-off point to the mountains. Looking forward to the next get together. BTW, your picture reminds me of a thorn between two roses.
May need to change my MINI's name again...

I look forward to going on some drives with other MINI owners. I'll try to bring along some more MINI drivers to the next meet-up. It would be awesome to see a parking lot full of MINIs.
BTW Tiffany is back home and just received a much deserved wax
.
Next meeting...
Yes, it was great fun meeting new folks and seeing their rides. I hope to have the next meeting in July.
I was recently diagnosed with kidney cancer(my fourth time around) so I had to put June on hold as my surgery is on June 1st w/a three week recovery time.
If I can muster up the strength, we might meet in late June even. Gotta get better first.
But you can bet we are going to be the number 1 Mini club in WV!
John and Lee are already looking for some great drives through our great state. I think it's going to be a great year for Country Road's Minis in north central WV! That's a promise. Look for more info to come and thanks everyone.
