Seems that we're getting a consensus on the top two on the right of the new batch.....here is my thought on narrowing it down (although I do like both and that second one is so close to my car)...

GonePostal mentioned making cards that we could leave on Minis we find to let them know about our group...he said that the cards were not a pure white color, which caused a problem when placing the Mini logo. Also, there was a mention of tshirts (which I would certainly not be opposed to and I think could be done easily enough either locally or on cafepress.com)....

The top right logo has more defined outlines that might work better on off-white cards or different colors of tshirts. Any thoughts on that?

SWEET BAJEEZUS, those are some tough decisions. Who is to say we have to decide on just ONE logo? we can have two, lol. One for the cards, and maybe a different for any shirts we get made up. I say top right and bottom left. That would mean we'd have a MINIesq and a Postal logo! (i like the dark wheels on the bottom left) Whatever we ultimately decide, if shirts are ever made, COOPERation defintely deserves to have one sent to him so that he can wear it with Pride!

We probably need to actually make a decision instead of letting this hang out there much longer.

CAFE press wouldnt be a bad idea....anyone know a good place to get business cards for cheap so we can pass them out to spotted MINIs? I feel like leaving a post-it note on a parked car as a little creepy...

I second (third?) the cafepress idea. And there are typically several places where you can print business cards for cheap online. There are also several places to do postcards, if we need more space or something.

Excellent designs by COOPERation as usual! One caution about CafePress with the designs. MINI U.S.A. recently asked me to remove three designs from my store because they had the word MINI in them. Since the designs you're considering also say MINI, you may have difficulty with them on CafePress. COOPERation is in the shirt and design business and he does the shirts for my club, Sunshine MINIs. The printing is fantastic. Have you talked to him about getting your shirts made?

For your information, here are the guidelines used by BMW for protecting their trademarks (from the warning I received from CafePress):

In accordance with our Intellectual Property Rights Policy, John G. Froemming on behalf of the BMW Group provided us with a notice stating that your use of the BMW “Roundel” logo, “BMW” word mark, M-Stripes logo, M-Stripes logo and design, MPOWER word mark, M3 word mark, M5 word mark, 335 word mark, Z3 word mark, MINI word mark, MINI Wings logo and design, MINI COOPER word mark, ROLLS-ROYCE word mark and/or SILVER GHOST word mark (collectively “BMW Group marks”) infringes upon their intellectual property rights (trademark).

Okay guys, COOPERation has redsigned the logos for us. he made them "cafepress friendly" so that we won't have any infringement issues. Instead of MINI Club its been switched to motoring club. If we ever decide to have something that says MINI Club, we will have to go through COOPERations company, and have them made that way as it will not be for sale to the public, but we would need to have a minimum of 24 orders in any combonation of shirts.

here are the revised logos. so group consensus is for the bottom left? with cafepress there is no limit or anything just order whenever you want.

My opinion , and order quantity <g>

Of the options listed, I tend to go against the grain a bit.
While I really like the bottom left in general, I think it would look better
on a letterhead/ business card than on a T-Shirt.

(I think the top right, with the bolder "louder" lettering jumps out at you
more if on a T-Shirt... where the mountain design is a bit "quieter".... if
that makes sense.)

I also like the idea of going thru Cooperation and having MINI on the shirts.
I like this for two reasons...
1. Cooperation has done the work.. let him have the order.
2. Trademark... I would prefer to let folks know I'm a member of a MINI club,
not a MOTORING club.

If Cooperation will let us know the cost and styles available.. I'm ready to
order 3 or 4 myself today assuming the price is somewhere near reasonable.

Yes, the round design seems like it would look better on a shirt. COOPERation actually suggested using cafepress given the small size of our club at this moment. also with cafe press im sure we could load a couple designs on there and that way everyone can get their top pick of designs.

I have no problem going through COOPERation either. The hard part is making sure everyone together orders over 24, then keeping up with sizes, colors, styles, payments, and of course shipping them all out when they arrive. plus, if someone says "oh, i really should have ordered a sweatshirt," we'd have to order another 24 just to accomodate that one person if it ever happened. if/when we get larger we can always go from cafepress to COOPERation.

anyways, i sent him another messaging requestion a price list. so we'll see how that looks and go from there!

I should clarify on the infringement issue. its perfectly okay to use MINI club or whatever. He will not do any trademarks. apparently bmwMINI had an issue with MINI_Bee because it was listed for public sale. So COOPERation shouldnt have any problem using MINI Club, or the wings logo, which he designed himself. sorry for the confusion.

UPDATE: prices seem VERY reasonable. $9.25 for a short sleeve, 12.50 for long sleeve, 15.50 for sweatshirt, and $23 for a hoodie. of course you will need to factor in shipping charges. here is a prototype of how it could look....of course with whatever design the consensus is.

Hopefully this link will for for a bit.... anyways we need to decide on color of shirt too...white, grey, or black. I am partial to black myself adding more colors will only drive up the costs.

I would try VistaPrint.com for your business cards. Or you can design a pdf file for everyone to download. Then just print them on card stock and cut them up.

I really appreciate everything COOPERation has done in designing this for us...and I'd be happy to order from him if that's what everyone wants to do. But, as has been suggested, I think the size of our group may work best with cafepress. That way, we don't have to try to find 24 orders for all of the same shirt and people can get more in different styles later more easily. Cafepress has a great variety of options for putting designs on - lots of tshirts, long sleeved tshirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, etc. I think (although this may not be possible for everything) they even have mousepads, coffee mugs and other non-shirt items. Once we get more people in the group, we can then go back to COOPERation and use him for our orders. Maybe, if we end up with a bigger event (a weekend of runs or something), we can use COOPERation and order from him for that. I'm sure there would be more consensus in style for something like that.

Does anyone know how to get the logo on cafepress? I've ordered from there many time but never put my own design up.
