Run 4 the Hills!!!!! 2011

Good news
We conned...bribed someone into coming along with us to watch the dependents whilst Candy and I are motoring. All it cost is a separate hotel room for him to stay in.
So, how was the last one of these? Was there a schedule and a planned route? I have watched the videos our benevolent leader posted a bunch, I am hoping I can manage to negotiate the roads as aptly.

Forget most of that stuff.
There is civilization there. All you need is a soda pop with a screw top so that it won't spill.
As for how it went last time, see Post #1. It was a blast.
As for rides, we will have maps for you there. But you make your own rides. We gather in the AM and folks break off into small groups and go where you like. Some north, some south, some east and some west. We meet in the evening and share.
On Friday AM we do have an early booking at the Hot Rod School www.hotrodinstitute.com to enjoy their cars and share ours.
If you do NOT have access to the event website (HPMS High Plains Motoring Society on Wordpress) then send me a PM with your names, email and club affiliation, and we will invite you to join our page (site) with all the logistics. They are there.
Thanks, you will have fun.

1 medium duffel bag.
But, I don't have as much fun without the fam around, so they will be bringing all of their baggage with them.

WildThang, I noticed you are working on a route to Rapid City for May. Its only 2 month's away. Have you finalized it enough to share? I believe you mentioned CarHedge as one of the stops. I had an email from the "Eastern Iowa Mini" group yesterday proposing several possible routes for them with a couple of them also stopping at CarHedge. Maybe we can organize a mass entrance into Rapid City if it works out. Peggy and I are definitely going and hope to motor with a group. Have you done a head count of who is committed from the Omaha area? With winter coming to an end this gives us something to look forward to in the not to distant future. Keep me posted.

So that you know....
There is information posted on routes etc in the HPMS dedicated site. If you have asked for access then you have it. If not, you are welcome to request access, just PM me or Pauhana right here in NAM. We simply need your name, email and club affiliation. All the event info is there for all to see.
The Denver group will plan (as last time) for a 7 am departure from somewhere on the North side of the city, likely north of Downtown. That puts us in to CarHenge (Alliance, NE about Noon), and with a 1 hour layover and fuel stop, we can easily make Rapid City by 4 - 4:30 the planned hour. This gives time to freshen up before we make our first dinner reservation.
See the HPMS site for full details. Don't forget the Friday AM Field Trip to the Hot Rod Shop.
As of last weekend, we had 37 rooms blocked (making it about 37 MINIs) with more to come still. Of those, 12 are Denver or Colorado that I know of so that will be the size of our group, give or take a few, including a couple of Countrymen for your viewing pleasure.
