Okay... a few questions...

what limits a cooper to only a 50 shot? Is this a wet or a dry shot?

Is it limited because the pistons and rods or because there isn't enough fuel?

Also, has anyone here run nitrous on there cooper?

If so how much? More or less than 50 shot?

has anyone on here lost there motor due to nitrous on there cooper?

I know someon who ran 75 shot way back in 2002 and killed his internals (i believe that was the problem...he disappeared after it happened)

you run 2 risks...the internals experiencing problems, and the bigger issue of our very weak trannies

i just wonder if it was because the motor ran lean or if because the pistons couldn't handle the cylinder pressure...

Ive had nitrous on a few cars...I would say a 50 should should be fine...any more than that and your clutch will perish. I do know that the fuel pump would be a good idea to upgrade. Pretty sure the Cooper S pump is a direct bolt in.

have they had trannies that are as bad as the cooper's tranny though?

iceman30 has it on his car... he even tried a 75 shot. Said he had no problems. He drives an 05 model so the tranny is not a problem. I don't think using nitrous on a Mini with the Midlands (02-04) is a smart idea.

I also spoke to a rep from Wizards of NOS in the UK. Minis are like Civics over there, lots of kits sold for the Mini. A 50 shot is no problem. But if you feel insecure, buy a progressive control unit just be safe.

After taking a rod and piston out today I wouldn't want to go more than 10hp shot

We're going to examine it further, the rods look so weak I would buy a spare bullet just in case .
