Does anyone know if I can buy the silver fuel injector cover that comes with the Cooper JCW tuning kit, without the JCW badge? I was hoping I could buy that cover as a replacement part and swap it out for the black one on my Cooper, just for looks.

James, any idea about that?

Actually it's just not sound I'm getting if you have a chance read the thread and you'll see what I'm doing. But thanks for the advice.

Every time I read this thread, I get inspired to buy another Sound Kit. I really enjoyed the one on my last MC.

I'm really tempted to throw a JCW spoiler on the rear while it's in. I know, I know....

Or hunt down a Tuning Kit and be really unique. I love mine.

James, I would agree unique is the key. It's just not another Modded "S" on the streets.

I have the full JCM exhaust setup on my 05 Cooper S.

In case anyone is still wanting to order, watch for the exchange rate, hidden bank fee and shipping cost.

great service though. most importantly, awesome products! the manifold gives the MINI a nice grunt.

Ords I saw in another thread you got the JCM head put on as well but didn't update us here. What do you think about it?

I would bet you're pushing 130bhp and all JCW/M. Again, a very nice project.

Crusoe,

My impression is one that this is how the MC should feel to begin with. I think most would agree, 115bhp isn't enough for the MC.

My dealer had it for 3 days, I was given a loaner too.

There's little lag when I press the gas peddle down now compared to before, especially in 5th gear while on the interstate. Running in 3rd and 4th she really wants to go...That, to me was be biggest surprise. I'm not sure I'm pushing 130 but the orginial kit mentioned 132 and from the emails with Paul Cooper he said I should be close to that. No, No Dyno's done and I probably should for my own curiosity.

I've very happy overall and for me it was money well spent. (I should say I do realize I'm not going to get a $ back if I ever get rid of it)

My gas mileage dipped a little but that's from me probably being spirited while I'm out. Even the Mrs. mentioned after taking it for a drive that it's different from before. (I suspect she might sense the difference coming from the JCW Soundkit) as she usually drives it 1-2 days a week just to keep current in driving a manual.

One thing I will do is have some MCS owners take it for a spin and give their impressions back.

Thanks for reminding me I should have posted a while back.

Awesome! If the original tuner kit was 132bhp then I agree this should be close. The intake with the SK is better than just the drop-in filter of the TK and the exhaust seems much more efficient and aftermarketlike in the SK vs the OEM like TK's.
I took pictures of mine.

If I ever replace my head, I'd probably go the same route (with your permission of course ).

Now the next question that comes to mind, would an ECU tune make any difference over what I have now? Being located in Chicago, I'm not sure who, (if any) would do it.

Next will be a brake and suspension upgrade sometime mid next year. I've done research already, now it comes down to budget.

In the mean time, it's minor bling here and there.

Maybe Euroquipe in St. Charles would do a Ecu tune...you should check out their website at www.euroquipe.com. I know they do a lot of work on MINI's and also do performance enhancement. It's worth a shot! Plus you'll know your baby will be stored inside if it has to stay over night

Yes, seen them before. Perhaps a drive over to talk and brainstorm with the owners. Thanks for the advice.
