More Power for MC Engine - help
Talk to Ryephile [Detroit Tuned]...he dynoed the UniChip for the Cooper CVT. I was told it gives 7 HP and 7 ft.lbs. of torque, as seen on the dyno readout. The gains will probably be more significant for stickshift Coopers.
I started with a non-S model because...
I enjoy making power/efficiency improvements and never did like belt-driven supercharging, prefering turbos for that. I want to build a normally aspirated higher performance engine. Mine is an '02 model and already has a header- don't they all come with one, or is the stock one inefficient? If I change to a cooler thermostat, like one rated at 180, will it befuddle my computer? Also, what needs to be replaced to get more RPMs out of this engine? -Jeffy.

most people getting the mc over the mcs was looking for fuel efficency not power. so that would be the reason there isnt going to be much upgrades for the mc. looking for power you need to be in the S class. getting rid of your ac, well i hope its not hot where you are. i would never be able to live without it.
