Supersprint Exhaust For Cooper (non-S)

Anyone running the Supersprint Cooper (non-S) exhaust have any pics of the actual exit (view straight into the exit)? I've got the Magnaflow & while the huge 4" tip looks cool, the teeny pea shooter exit looks pretty weak. The exhaust is 2.25" all the way through, but from the actual exit to about 5" back inside, there's a plug that makes for a smaller exit. I don't know what this is for (additional back pressure/force more sound absorbsion?), but I don't care for what it looks like. I got a great price on the Magnaflow, it sounds mean with the Milltek header & has provided greatly refined throttle reponse, so I'm not complaining. However, if the Supersprint doesn't look this way, I would seriously consider picking one of those up, along with a resonator-less connecting pipe.

Well for one, you don't hear too much about the Supersprint Exhaust from PROMINI here on NAM. Most of the others like Remus, Milltek, Helix, Borla etc. cloud the airwaves here. I've had my Supersprint exhaust on for about 1.5 years and haven't got tired of it. I still press the gas hard and hear the intake/exhaust note and it still gives me a smile.....

I have been to a few track events and I always get a lot of comments on my non-resonator Supersprint exhaust. I guess its from not having that weak supercharger whine coming through and its all engine sound! I don't think the Supersprint is at the top of the list as far as hp gains are concerned but this exhaust sounds lowbawlish and MEATY BABY! I love it! You won't regret getting it!

As for the exhaust exits the entire setup is 2.25 inch wide pipe coming back from the cat. The exhaust is pretty beefy, definitely bigger than your "pea-shooter" exhaust that you showed me in your pics. I have pics of my car but I don't think I have a closeup of the exhaust though....you can check out the car here..........

Cheers,

Thanks for the input. I put that thing up months ago & you're the first to mention anything. Like you said, you don't hear to much about Supersprint around here. The Supersprint has remained on my "to do" list, but it's hardly a necessity so it's not too high on the list. It might be nice to mate it up with a Megan header (no cat) for some nice "straight through" loudness. I'm running MTH in the ECU & Volker can tweak it deal with the o2 sensors w/o cat. I like my Milltek header, but the Megan (from Pilo) teminates in 2.25"', while the Milltek termintes in 2.5". The only catback exhaust I've seen that runs 2.5" is the Milltek for the S.

BTW- what intake are you running?
