I was interested in hearing some feedback on the cat-back exhaust systems available for the Cooper. While we're at it why don't we share info on headers too?

I'm getting very interested in picking up a Helix exhaust for my Cooper, and possibly headers too. I am more interested in power than sound and from what I've been reading Helix is tops.

Does anyone know what headers were used in the Grassroots Motorsports magazine horsepower shootout that Helix's exhaust won? Or have a recommendation?

I'd like to apologize to anyone I may have offended by posting the above question. After several hours of searching I think I found the answer to one of my questions.

Haven't found the answer to the header question yet, but I'll find it!!

 

A header on the Cooper will give you very minimal gains - not worth it IMO.

The Helix13 and the Milltek cat-back are both excellent, though for tone [even though that's not your primary interest] the Borla sounds really great too (though I personally love the refined smoothness of the Milltek).
