Tires.

I'm extremely happy with my current tires:
Michelin X-ice Xi3 in 185/65/15 for winter 15x5.5, - almost as good as Blizzaks in the snow but not as mushy in dry winter weather
and Continental ExtremeContact Sport in 205/55/16 for summer 16x6.5 - Big improvement over the Conti Extremecontact DW and others I've had before.

Summer tires:
Dunlop, I can't remember which ones - it was 10 years ago but they were 205/50-16 - good grip but they were near the end of their life when I got them attached to Panasports I bought.
Goodyear F1 DS-G3 -205/50-16- great grip but I didn't like them much in the rain - I don't think that they make these in 16 inch anymore. They are communicative at the limit and loudly announce to the whole world that you have exceeded the limit.
Yokohama V105 Sport (Mercedes spec) - 205/55-16 - my current tire. I really like these. Great grip, communicative at the limit and they seem to never wear out - they have a tread rating of 240 which should mean that they should be gone after two summers and 2 track days but there is about 70% left. They are low rolling resistance but still have great grip and since they are made for a car that is 1000 pound heavier, I suspect they will be around next summer as well.
Winter -
2 sets of Blizzaks WS70 - at the time I got them you could get them in 175/65-15 now only offered in 195/65-15. I loved these for winter tires. We don't get much snow in the PPRO (Peoples Republic of Portland Oregon) but when we do, there is usually 1/8 inch of ice under 1/2 inch of snow. These tires grip in all of the conditions I experienced. FULL STOP. They don't last long though, but that should be expected.
Falkin Ziex ZE512 high performance all-season - 185/65-15 - good all rounder with great grip in the summer, even on a track day. They shed water like well, water off a ducks back. A little less grip in the wet but very predictable.
Yokohama Advid Envigor - 175/65-15 - High performance All-seasons -these are good in the dry and acceptable in the wet and down right useable in the snow/ice. Last winters nightmare of freezing rain then snow on my way home from work made up my mind that they will be coming off the rims when fall comes and Blizzaks will be going back on. I don't care how much tread is left.
