clutch advice please

Do all parts of this story sound reasonable?
The clutch went out on my 2004 Cooper at 65000m. Replacing it is going to cost $1800.
Thanks.

I just replaced mine 82,000 at a shop near downtown LA for a cost of $1,500. The guy even got it completed on time.

clutch repair...continued

Yeah - mine ended up being about 1500 too - they resurfaced the flywheel instead of replacing it, which was nice, BUT when I got it back the AC wasn't blowing cold air (they found a "restriction" and fixed it) and the auxiliary fan is running on high all the time - they are not willing to take responsibility for that one. Does my story still sound reasonable?
