Washable and reusable on the aFe , aFe also has a dry filter if you don't like to re-oil. More surface area. Rubberized / poly seal on the outside.

thinking about this again.. what are the exact dimensions of the stock air filter for the base cooper?

currently doing research to find what is the best FILTERING filter - usually k&n doesn't top that list, seeing how aFe will be.

Looks like the oiled version is going to be very good filtering-wise - however, it is oiled and would require some maintenance. I've tried re-oiling a filter in the past, did not enjoy.

The dry version has slightly less filtering efficiency, but with the convenience of being a dry filter.

The "racing" version will have the best flow, but worst filtration
