I haven't been able to find much on this. Anyone here have experience with it? I'd go for their "louder" one of the two they make for the non-s.

 

I've been wondering the same thing. Looking for an intake that's CARB approved and was led to VIP. I wan to hear what people say about it before I get a kit.

 

Which intake are you looking at, the 2 or 2.5? I recently installed the AirVIP 2 Intake from VIP Custom Parts. The item is just the intake tube, but I was surprised by how it reduced the throttle lag significantly. I left the filter stock. I'm not all that interested in changing the intake filter with their cone filter since it gets a lot of hot air that passes through the engine bay.

 

Make your own! I did but decided it was a little too loud for my taste.

I just put on the VIP a few days ago...takes a few minutes.

..its a lil' bit throatier sound, but to me not really noticible until I'm really on the accelerater hard...doesn't seem too loud.

Not sure if any added gain from it...prolly more gain from the k&n drop in filter I added at same time.

..it does at least look better than that huge plastic intake silencer!

..as others have done, you can make the equivalent..for much less, this is the lazy way out, ..open box..installs in minutes
