Which chip is the best for the MC (non-S)
I've finally got the MC where I want it with the inclusion of the new throttle body. My question now is, which chip for the MC. I've read tons (ad naseum) about the different types but they all seem to lean toward the S. Is there a chip out there for a heavily modded MC?
Since I'm thinking about doin' this, I collected three sources for MC ECU mods:
AmD, Mini-Madness Evotech and Diamond Racing.
DR was advertising SuperChips but their pages have changed.
Mini Madness has the Dyno chart of an MCS on their MC page (153 vs 163 - can't imagine someone is getting that much wheel hp from a NA MC.) Plus, the runs were made in different gears, and it does make a difference.
AmD seems to want your business. They offer install via a OneClick. Meaning no down time and fully reversible. They're willing to work with whatever mods you have and they'll upgrade as you upgrade. They also claim 10 hp increase but the peak numbers are more reasonable, 115 vs. 125 and torque 116 vs. 124 with increases across the board. The down side is $449 to start. Not too exspensive but not cheap either.
