Mini Cooper Theatre

I am turning my car into a portable theatre. I'm going to take pictures right now, but it's about 12:21AM here so don't mind the darkness in the pictures. brb in 5 mins

EDIT: It's way to dark (even with the flash light) to take pictures right now with my iPhone 3G.

I'll just list my products that I'm using/will use.

1) 7 pairs of TWS-4 Sound stream tweeters, surrounded sound.
2) Box for a 21" Subwoofer for the bass in movies. Aka Jurassic park scene with the cup of water. It will be a life like experience.
3) There is a spot where I removed the Rear view mirror, since the 21" box is the WHOLE rear area where the rear seats were. Putting a projector there to shine through the windshield, and on a large wall. Resulting, a portable movie theatre. 300" Max screen size. 21" subwoofer. And surrounded sound

EDIT again: I will post pictures. First thing in the morning with sunlight

I can't wait to see the finished product.

P.S. Good color choice

So there are 14 tweeters in all around in the front stage. Not to sure what Component speakers to run for theatre quality. My local audio shop told me that DLS are really High quality speakers which one much awards, years in a row. I'll be getting (2) 5 channel amps. The PDX-5/5M. So each two tweeter pair will have it's own channel. The mono channel will be for my future bazooka tube's mid bass, That I'll be getting really soon. I'll be getting the projector first. Which is around $180 on amazon.com for an LED based technology projector. Will I need a really High lumen output projector? I'm thinking that I will need to "Dish out" for a better projector since the $180 projector is only 50 lumens. I have the Casio Green technology projectors in mind now. I'll let everyone know how the install/projector works in

And the third picture that I've posted. Will be for the Upside-down Projector mount (ceiling mount). That is where the Rear-view mirror used to be. Don't need it, like I said. because the Box is so high, it just reflects to the back of the box. I'll be getting a Reverse camera for/on the license plate(s)

EDIT: I could have the projector, projecting on the wall while I reverse with the camera displaying It's image. That would look funny

That 2500 lumens projector is more like it. 50 lumens would not get you much more than a normal size picture in a pitch black room.

Have you thought about how you are going to isolate the projector when T-rex is walking around? I see a lot of shaky images in your future, but am excited to see how you will solve this problem.

Garage door for a screen?

I just thought of that problem today. I will only be getting 600-700RMS watts to the 21" subwoofer so it might not be as bad as I/you think. If not. I'll just lower the bass a little bit. The 2500 lumen projector is about $350. I can't wait for my next paycheck

Didn't realize that LG came out with the newer LED projector. Even though it is only less than 300 lumens. It is rated with the LED projection, which is way bright enough to project an image at night

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...A2R0FX412W1BDT

I had the previous version before this one. The HS201. And that was pretty Great. Now this one will be a better resolution + Brighter Display + Different color that will match my carpet on the ceiling of the car when I install the carpet, when the car is almost done with

One more change in the plan. I'll be getting a PS2 Mini instead of the Netbook for now. It will play DVDs and video games. Gamestop sells them for like $50. I'm checking later today when they open

EDIT: $39.99

I'm not sure what you mean by "rated with LED projection", but lumens are lumens. A 2500 lumen projector will be 8-9 times brighter than a 300 lumen projector regardless of the light source. The lamp lifetime is awesome though. 15,000 movies vs 2000 movies, but will you ever watch 2000 movies from your car? Of course price is also a factor. Anyway, just some things to think about. This project is awesome!

Also, I have 500 W running to my 10" sub and it shakes my mirrors when I'm pushing. I can't imagine you having a get-out-of-jail-free card with this challenge. Good luck!

You may want to make sure your electrical system is up to the task.

I'm not sure you understand the concept of staging.

You going to put a headliner up to hide those wicked black widow tweets?
