New Headlights bought off Ebay!

Hey guys!
im taking a break from studying and id figure id post this incase anyone of you guys might be interested in the future on some aftermarket headlights. Well my original R50 headlights were getting sun/rain/heat beaten and they started getting that yellowish look on the lens so i decided its time for new headlights and i put it on my wish list (my gf got my I.E. Camber plates, Headlights and bonnet stripes for xmas!).

So i get em in via UPS and when i looked at them they were so shiny and new and clear. i was very excited. so i took off the old headlights and it was easier than i expected it to be and i put in the new headlights. it was practically plug and play. the headlights did come with long electrical cables (for the angel eyes) to hook up to the low lights (the ones switch right before the headlights come on) but i didnt go that route since it would be messy and could cause some tangles in the future. So i put the angel eyes with the regular beams and that was it. boom. tht simple.

So now my mini has a cooler newer, more unique look. i think it looks great but im feeling im still under construction since i want the JCW non S body kit in the future. too much chrome all over the car for me. Thoughts, concerns, advice, opinions welcome!

I'm patiently waiting for some company to make a blacked out version of this for the R56.

Ill take more pictures sometime when the weather clears up. i drove em in the rain and they fogged up a little but not much. theres some instructionals on how to seal off the headlights which take 3 days to cure (possibly less but more than 2 days)

When i installed mine and first used them i felt the beam was too low to the ground so i eventually started tinkering with the adjustments to get the beam just right. i need to go to an empty parking lot to get a good beam i believe.

Also, the headlight housing says its not ment for HID. installing HID will void the warranty.

Does anyone make non-smoked but clear ones for the R56?
I think I'm just going to remove my orange lens and replace the bulb to get clear ones..

I bought a set A/M halo projection lights about 5 months ago.
Really changed appearance of the car.
Got tail lights also.
Does not look like every other Mini now.

I'm pretty sure they will work, the best way to tell is if the lights are attached and come up with the hood when you raise it they will work.

i was under the impression that some earlier models have a turn signal in the headlight, while mine is in the bumper.

My turn signals are in the bumper so it should be the same. The lights are plug n play, the only wires you have to mess with are the ones for the halo lights and i just spliced them into the LED light wires.

Are the halo's visible during the day? I'm about ready to pull the trigger on these (although, I'm planning on getting the ones with just the halo, not the LED stripe on the side).

The halos are barely visible in the day, nowhere near what I have seen on some bmw's, but I have mine wired to the LEDs so they might not be getting all the power they need. When it cools off some I plan to wire them a different way to see if they will be brighter. I'll try to take a picture in the next few days.

I know I'm grave digging here on this post, but I thought this better than starting a new post.
How is the visibility during the night and mountain driving? also in the rain?
