That is what works for my MINI -- with the 1st O2 sensor in the header and the 2nd O2 sensor just behind the cat.

It feels stronger but power is subjective without an actual dyno !

Sound I have a Vibrant resonator and a Supertrapp muffler beyond the cat. I think the Supertrapp is cool because you can tune from sorta loud to real loud -- you add and remove disk. With 8 of 12 disk installed it has a throaty growl on acceleration yet it does not drone at steady highway speeds and if you need to be quite you can.

Almost any car with a header is going to be louder than without.

Sorry no pictures -- I will try and take some the next time I have it up.

I know this is an old thread but if any of you still have your exhaust systems I wanna ask you guys some questions. I currently have an invidia catback exhaust system on my 2006 cooper s and I’ve been looking into some headers either buying some cheap ones or welding my own. I have a fake cat that you can see straight through and I would be interested in putting that in for fun and welding a plate on the stock cat so I could switch them out with relative ease when it comes to inspection time. Any ideas?
