VTEC swap
yes, the stock minis' header is quite possibly the most restrictive part of the engine, besides the head, so if you can open up the head with a bv head, and new cams to increase flow even more, then allow the new header to free up the exhaust, the gains will actually be well over 30hp. the header alone usually adds 7-9 hp and ~15 tq without doing a cam or header.
2: Engine code F25C does not exist. F20C and F22C are the only engines that were ever offered in the ap1 and ap2 honda s2000.
3: The k20 makes about 100hp/liter depending on model.
4: The F20C makes 118.5 hp/liter (more that an enzo ferrari, and is to date the highest hp/l NA production motor).
5: So how is the k20 a better platform than the F20C? Other than the fact that it is for a RWD car...
1: There there is no such thing as a 2.5L s2000 motor.

2. Also true, there isn't an F25C, BUT it's how people name it after they swap out engine blocks with another Honda engine.
3. Correct
4. Also Correct
5. The K20 IS a better engine, it has lots of low end torque, it has a better vtec system, and in tuned form, it will outperform an F20/F22C, easily, with less money. Also far more reliable.
6. I am thinking who on earth would sell a 2.5L S2000 to get a Mini.....

My current vehicle has a K20Z3, and i have drove an ap1 numerus times. IMO the F20 is 10x better.

BULL. They barely have any gains and head work for these cars is expensive and absolutely not worth it.
MODDING A COOPER, S OR NOT, IS COMPLETELY WORTHLESS IN THE LONG RUN.
This whole site is wasting cash on a fail of a car.
Don't feed the troll...
.....
uhhhh nick u might wanna pick up the current MC2...Kelli Viselli's R53 puts down 267whp on a stock bottom end...oh and u might want to take a peek at the S drivetrain section...RMW cars with the head and total set up are pushing 240-250+
the motor in the cooper is the same as the cooper S just no S/C...build the motor..it would still come out cheaper than doing a honda swap because as there is no kit to install one it will all have to be custom plus u would have to have a honda ECU be able to accept the mini because its not like dropping it in a classic mini...without the mini ecu u will prolly lose alot of your creature comforts
