The other day I turned my car on with my wipers on when a foot of snow was on them and I burnt out the wiper motor. I ordered a reman from Rock Auto and spent about an hour and a half installing it today. The wipers now turn on but only run for about 15 seconds before shutting off mid swipe. If I re-click the wiper adjuster lever behind the steering wheel it will start over but the same problem occurs. Also, if the wipers are on and I shut the car off, they will continue to run through this 15 sec cycle before turning off. Should I assume the reman motor is no good or could this be an additional issue? Never had any wiper issues prior to this. Read through similar threads here but nothing convincing.
