Just bought a classic

Just bought a 1972 Morris Mini used to be a clubman but now it has a cooper front and also has the clubman front end too. It ships out from england on tuesday. Has anybody had one shipped to the east coast? How long does it usually take? First car i have bought sight unseen So wish me luck! This will be my second classic had a 1991 Mini May-fair when we were stationed in italy but sold it before we came back to the states for a nice lil profit. Eventually we will go with a swap maybe K series but i am thinking more exotic, more than likely me and my father in-law will do all the fabricating our selves like the sub-frame and stuff. He's a machinist/car guy and well i just got retrained buy the AF to Machinist/welder(Metals Tech). Save a lot of money doing it ourselves! Anyways just thought i would say hello and introduce myself. See you all at the Dragon, Great thing is we live like 30 mins from it in Maryville!

See ya all around

Chris

Then you're gonna love Mini Meet East in Alcoa TN at the end of June! We'll be up from FL with our converted Clubman Estate.

Find out from the shipper what carrier it is on. Both Wilhemsen-Wallenius and K-Line have their schedules online. WW even has ability to look the individual car up for status. Takes a week/week and a half plus a couple days to unload and clear USDA & customs.
