Allignment

What are all the #'s needed for someone to do my allignment?

I found a guy that has the right equiptment and does not look at me puzzled when I tell him what my car is and he cannot find it in his computer, but tells me I need the numbers for it in order for him to do the allignment.

Where can one find this?

Why not use the dealer?

"alignment" has just one "l". Thought you'd want to know. :-)

You guys realize he's talking a classic, right?

Curiously - as you may know - the Haynes manual doesn't give these numbers. Altho gives a procedure for adjustment - wierd.

From the Heritage CD, I haven't found this in the tech manuals.... the owner's manuals all provide only 1 number

toe out 1/16 inch (1.6 mm)

I'm gonna dig in the CD some more. I'll need this eventually too

Unless you put in adj suspension components (tie rods, lower arms, rear brackets) you can only adj front toe.

Specs:

http://www.ime.org.uk/ime/s/suspension

Lance, why post multiple boards for an answer that's easily available on Minimania.com tech section. :impatient Also, re-check your posts to see that people have already answered your questions....

The MM site is a pain in the gearbox to use so far as their boards go. I searched there for the same info and found nada - however since I find the board so hard to use (heck, it is hard just to find the boards much less how to sign-on) I also posted a ? there. With no reply after several days.....

The shopping side isn't bad, but the boards

The minimania site isn't going to give you much info. The guys there told me "a little toe out on the front and a little toe in on the rear."

If you do not have adj suspension, you will only be able to adjust the toe. I have fully adj suspension, but my numbers are at home. I will post them up when I get home. My set-up is working very nicely. I think it is a little trial and error dependent upon what type of driving you do.

Again, when I get home I will post up my specs

Alignment Numbers

If you have adjustable lower control arms, adjustable tie rods and a new rear bracket for the rear radius arms you can make the following adjustments. Keep in mind that all of these are in DEGREES.

Front:
Toe .09 toe out
Caster 3.5
Camber 1.2 neg

Rear:
Toe .09 toe in
Camber .6 neg

I am very happy with this ride. If you do not have the adjustable components, I highly recommend them. The difference in the drive is absolutely worth it.

Although I seem to be going there more often for info and getting more acclimated to it, I must say that the minimania site could do with a facelift and software upgrade. It's the most outdated and un-user-friendly Mini site out there.

my $.02
