Classic Mini original colors

Can someone point me to information on the original colors which were available on the classic Mini? In particular, I believe there was a non-metallic grey color but I can't confirm or find any pix.

Would also love pointers to enthusiast sites with lots of info about the classic Mini. Thanks!

Try : http://members.tripod.com/~miniwww/club-usa.htm

for mini clubs in the usa
then, there is always the Internet Mini Encylopedia. google that, I lost the address Here :
www.ime.org.uk/

and there is another great site for classic mini information - check the forums, www.minimania.com/ and links sections to clubs, etc.... persist and you will find the answers!

You may look here for info on Mini's :

http://www.comp.glam.ac.uk/~Minis/minilinks.htm

... some are old and out-of-date, but the rest have more
Mini info than any of us'll ever need!

Perhaps you are thinking of Island Blue?

I like the Almond and Tobacco Road too (orange)

Been away for a few days. WOW, thanks for all of the excellent information. I think Yukon Grey is what I'm after...I'm considering one of those GoMini VTEC powered Mini's (I hope y'all don't consider that blasphemous) because they sound like they'd be a blast. I have a Lotus Elise (another Brit car with a Japanese engine) and kinda like the symmetry that the GoMini would achieve...plus the originals just look so cool. My current MINI Cooper (BMW) is black and I will never, ever get another black car again. But grey seems like it'll be a bit easier to keep looking good....

I have a 1993 Mini blue/silver. I was told that it was Rover Blue, however I am not sure if that is true. Also, I want to paint the top white. What color of white paint should I use?? Thanks.
