Did you notice the way the door opens on the old Mini? You pull the cord!

 

The MINIUSA Drag Car had a pull chord to open the door. :D

 

Center speedo and toggles. They are just about the same! :smile:

had dual big gauges stock in the center of the dash. Big tacho & speedo.
Just like the "new" ones (MINI's).....
The flap over the parcel shelf in the sea foam green picture was an add on.
Mine was open so you could watch stuff slide across....
Optional equipment from "the tuner's" in the day was a nice woodgrain kit
that covered this parcel shelf & gave you a nice glove box.
My old '67 had a actual door toggle on the inside. was about 1.5 inches long and was back by the elbow when you drove. You could by an extension
(think sleeve) to add on to this so you could open the door with your elbow
instead of having to reach around your side.
