New 1992 Rover Mini

Hey all just finally picked up a classic mini. 92 Rover Mini from Japan right side driver 1275CC fuel injected. Got problem with right side door lock the spring sometimes does not push pin back enough and have to manually move it to lock it in. Anyway know if you can rebuilt it or have to replace? Been looking around hard to find in states. Thanks Mike

parts manual for 59 thru 00 lists only one part number for the lock assmbly (well one for left and one for right ....)

drawing in the parts catalog looks like this one ....

https://www.minimania.com/part/DOORL...k111-And-Later

however this catalog is not for Japanese builds so maybe call MM to discuss.

Maybe try Mini City. They are a recycler who might have what you want.

nice and very tidy mini.......as for the lock if you remove the handles and the door card you will see the way the mini door latch works sometimes when a respray or door skins are replaced the clips in the latch are not pushed home correctly
