Sorry Kendel72, with all the NASTY things Bill *** (owner of Montecarlo Minis) has to say about our new MINIS and, more importantly, the owners of these cars (us), his dealership is the last place in the world I would suggest. Just do a search under wherewolf (his name) on the Mini Mania message board.

You don't - you won't be able to hear them anyway!

Now you are asking too much.

If it were me, I would try the store you bot the components from, assuming they did not fall off the back of some truck.

A rolling stereo...hmmm....

If you only wanted to spend $4K on one, you coulda came out to Paramount Studios and bought the older one that Charlize Theron drove in the Italian Job for $5K, before the Car Search guys bought it and sold it for $39K. mmmmm Charlize.
Cheers,

sources

I'd figure that there would be more critical places to spend your $ than CD player mounts with a $4k classic...but maybe you were luckier than me.

Sounds like you need a subscription to MINIWORLD and a few parts catalogs. But in answer to your specific question, one source for a centre console is www.custome-consoles.co.uk as listed on page 80 of the Nov 2004 MINIWORLD. You should have enuf room on the back shelf for 6x9's, I did, and these guys can provide a console that will fit a DIN mount, and door enclosures. This is just one random selection....mag has other adds. I've found the rag in good (read BIG) Barnes and Noble

I bought a 79 6 months ago. PM me if you want to ask any questions from a classic newbie. I have a few pics in the galleries.

first make sure it's a negative ground car

or you'll watch it go POOF when you turn the key.
Don't ask how I know this. Any competent shop
can convert the generator to switch it over.
I found a mini console that went under the dash.
I put enlosed speakers (ones with built in boxes)
inside the rear seat open cubbies.
Bolt them down! Don't ask~

I know I'm a bit late, but there's an importer of classic minis right down the street from me. The prices are really good since he doesn't do it as a business, but as a hobby.
