I don't know if you really "need" a moke but they go on sale on ebay.com and some of the classic mini sites do sell them too.

I think some NAM members have posted that they own or used to own a moke.

Check out some of the early threads on this classic mini forum.

Also there use to be the North American Moke Registry. When I had a Moke I joined that club. They have a good size data base on current and past Moke owners and parts when they become available.

my friend Jay had a job maintaining a fleet of vintage race cars for a guy named Jim Mullen ,who owned an adv. agency ( at one time they were the agency for BMW).He had a moke that was tricked to the max: webbers etc.Not only was it probably the fastest moke on the planet, but it well may have been the fastest classic mini, too.

Mini Mania has a sweet supercharged Moke. I saw it at Mini Meet West a few years ago. I see them for sale quite often but will have to get rid of my '68 Cooper to get one and I am not 100% sure that I want to do that. If I was planning to stay and work in Orange County, I would do it because it is a fun beach car. But I am moving to Petaluma early next year so it may not be as practical there.

Emmanuel has done a great job restoring his Moke and I guess I am craving a new project more than anything.

I remember MMW 79' there was this purple Moke with an 8 port head, dual 45 DCOE's. By far the fastest Mini at the autocross.

I finally got to see Quicksilver's Moke in person. He had trouble removing me from it - "no, mine, mine, mine, mine!"

If your climate permits, there no better way to Mini than in a Moke.

QS did an *awesome* job on his Moke. I still chuckle when I see the picture of him and (Taki?) driving on the freeway all bundled up against the morning cold.

There's a yellow moke nearby my house here in Hawaii. I gotta get over and see the guy - never ridden in one!

That was a funny morning. I would like to get ahold of that picture to Photoshop it for X-mas - Quicksilver as Santa.
