Mini only meets are infrequent

on the other hand check with your local, and more easily found, MG or Truimph folks for "all British" get togethers.

Around Orlando an all Brit show can draw over 100 cars and maybe a dozen Mini in a good year.

for Classic Mini (only) activities see http://classicminis.org/

hello north port

check out sunshineminis.org

they like to call themselves a club, but in reality they are a web site, but it is the best place to start for coordinating things in Florida.

I'm there under a similar name ....

not too familiar with your part of Florida but Miami has a pretty active group, and a decent mech or two familiar with Mini (not MINI in this context)

When you say you want to restore a 65 ... does it run? There is a really good Bit' show each year in Safety Harbor ... up Tampa way.

And if you want a road/week end trip, a good Brit show in Orlando April 11
http://allbritishcarclub.com/ usually over 100 Brits

I've had my 79 for 10 years now, if you have questions feel free to PM.

i've had it for about 38-39 yrs. used to be my every day car.lured my future and present (same)wife with it.lol. it's been down for about 30 yrs, just stored inmy garage in CT.moved down here in august. had the mini brought down here. we're in between venice and port charlotte.i think i was in the middle of converting it to dry suspension from wet back in the 80s. i had replaced the rear subframe ( really?).bought it from a crook in ct that used to bring em over. i got it for 2,500 at the time. got a shitload of parts for it. it's got a few problems. found out it had been hit in the rear quarter, so that's a little outta whack. pulls to the left. right hand drive. some engine work was done. 20 over pistons, hot cam.the usual stuff at the time.but it did run like a banshee.hopefully it will again. thanks for the tips, i'll check em out.ttyl bob
