Mini clubs in the Carolinas

Are there any Mini clubs, events or gatherings in the Carolinas? I'm new to Classic Minis and have a lot to learn.

Thanx Rob

Upstate Minis and Appalachian Mini's are two. Upstate seems to be based out of Greenville, SC. Appalachian seems to have more events closer to Asheville, NC (based in Canton, just west of Asheville, I believe). Welcome to the area!

You could also join up with the social/forum area of Mini-Mania's website. They have a Classic Mini following over there to get info within the chat board. As well as ask the same question over there and see if anyone knows more.

There are a scattering of classic Minis around Charleston, Myrtle Beach, Columbia in South Carolina but no big clubs that I'm aware of, other than the informal SCUM (South Carolina Unlimited Minis) in Charleston. I think there are also a few in the Charlotte area. Your best bet is to contact or show up at one of the area British Car Club shows or monthly meetings and ask around. Also check out CMU on their website http://www.classicminis.org/chapters.htm and Facebook. Where are you located?

If you are close enough to Columbia to make it to the April 1 Carolina British Classics show REGISTRATION, there will be at a least a couple of classics there. I'll be there with my 68 Riley Elf.
