There's a guy in my area with about a dozen minis, all for sale. He even has a pickup truck and panel van version.

Also sat in a New Mini at dealership on 57th st NYC. Very impressive car. But I think I prefer the classics. Must get myself one!

Paraphrase

to paraphrase another writer - I see one every day in my garage

since this weekend I became the owner of a highly modified 79

it leaks

it drips

And my wife says the garage smells of gas

I hope to chronical my adventure of bringing the car from FL to VA via the auto-train but may never top the experiences documented herein

http://www.tinotopia.com/austin_intro.htm

or maybe I will....

The 300 lb porter (who loads the car onto the train) squeezing into a 79 mini with cobra bucket seats was something that had to be seen to be believed.

Welcome to the classic world. Leaks and drips mean you have a British car the gas you need to check.

There's a new guy in town. He was driving down the road, saw mine parked outside my store and came in to say "hi". What a pleasant surprise!!

I have seen a classic MINI around my neighborhood about 4 times? They either live in my neighborhood or have a friend that lives here because my neighborhood is pretty seperated so no one would use it to "pass by" or whatever. Haven't tried to wave or anything because I don't have a MINI yet!

I've never seen one in person... but my aunt just returned from England and went to a Mini car show and brought back an absolute ton of picture for our enjoyment.

I can't wait to see them!

I'm there!!!

[QUOTE=OKeefe]to paraphrase another writer - I see one every day in my garage

I found my gas leak - a new fuel pump fixed that - and new fuel lines increased my confidence. AND I found the source of my largest oil leak which a few turns and a little seal replacement reduce my daily puddle to a drip or two.

Meaning!!!!!

I can drive my '79 any time I want!!!

I'm going to DQ, who wants to come?
