Question for you classic Mini owners.

My wife and I are interested in getting a classic Mini project.

My first question above is: Can I fit?

I'm 6'5'' Tall and even though I should look rediculous in it. I still love small cars the most. So, my questions is just that. Can it be built in some manner that I would be able to drive it without getting a stiff neck?

Sure...just extend the sunroof.

Seriously, 6'5" may be pushing the limits of headroom in a Mini unless you can almost sit on the floor.

You can surely get seat extenders to put the seat back to give you the legroom. It really depends on your body type. I would recommend finding someone with a Mini and try it out. Some people have really long legs that give them the height. Some have long torsos.. so it will depend.

Cool thank for the replies. That is helpful. I am tall from torse. Which is why I hate shopping for shirts lol. My legs are of average length.

I'm 6' 4" and carry my height in the torso (wear tall shirts for the length). I have a '79 RHD classic. I installed seat extenders and I slighty recline the seat. I am thinking about a smaller diameter steering wheel to ease entry and exit - but other than that..... Motor On

When Clint Eastwood was the mayor of Carmel, Calif. he drove a mini to work
every day. Don't know how tall he is but I'd guess about 6'4"

I recently had to take my seats out of my mini pickup to work on the interior and for the fun of it I got in and sat on the floor. I had trouble seeing over the dash and I'm only 5'12". I would say look for thinner seats if your head keeps hitting the roof.

Hey that would be fantastic!

We just got our '09 Mini and love it. I'm more old school so I would really like to try it out!
