Those angel eye lights are very nice! Minisport.com has a great catalog and their parts are relatively cheap BEFORE you add the shipping charges. I could spend so much money there.

My left headlight is out and the right one is very dim, but both high beams work ok. BTW, is the high beam lever just supposed to be momentary or should it lock in place when you activate the high beams?

In the dark

1. So the lites off in the dark....I should post a black frame?

2. Here's everything off but with ambient light

3. Depending on the year...yes, my stalk will 'clik' to a high beam position and stay...and has a high beam flash pull position. It's a 79 from that perspective.... (push to high beam..it stays. Pull to flash)

Those angel eyes add a lot of flare to a mini! im also guessing theres some insurance reduction because of the daytime running lamps?

Not DLR

They are not DLR....you could wire them that way I suppose but out of the box one usually wires to the running light position.

And, I've OC insured by American Collectors under standard collector car restrictions. I pay a few dollars per month. There's no DLR discount.

I am sorry you probably thought my request was wierd, I should have explained it better. It would be cool to see the lights in the nighttime (you know like turned on outside in the dark) Sorry!

Or minus the flash. I want to see just the rings too.

got ya

you don't remove this much to clean the wheel well?

Look close and note the attachment points for an FRG front clip. Mine is a 2 part....so the bonnet can still be removed sep'. It is not a flip, but a couple of clips, and a couple of screws and one multi-plug for the lites and the front clip comes off. Takes about 5 minutes. That's how my 79 sports a MK1 grill....

Makes it real easy to clean up, grease, check the brakes, touch up underside paint....bugaboos

Do you find your front has any additional rattles or squeaks with this setup? It sure would make cleaning the engine bay or working in there much easier. I'm almost sold on the idea, but scared about even more rattles. I'm guessing with the working bonnet, this is still a steel setup rather than fiberglass?

No this is glass, but two pieces. Does it rattle more? My exhaust is so loud, and I have so many other rattles it's hard to tell! I dunno, I'm not the engineer .... I bought it like this. The bonnet piece rattled for a while but last year I added some self stick weather strip at the back edge and that holds it pretty tight against the clevis pins now. The ends held with rubber toggles are pretty tight. The bonnet isn't 'functional', that is it is not on hinges. It attaches with two race pins at the back and two rubber toggles up front. It comes off....see the sig pic...I put it on the roof. It weights a couple of pounds. The fender section is one piece, two race pins face forward on the front sill; two rubber toggles at each A panel, and since I have a large set or arches, two screws on each arch that go into the A panel. And one screw at the top, on the 'inside', about where the bonnet hinges would be. I use nylon screws with big wing nuts on the back. The electrics are tied into a big trailer type plug.

Pull it off and you can easily hug the engine, snuggle the brakes, and peruse all sides of the radiator. But the loss of inner fenders makes me even more paranoid about rain. Snow well, I live in Florida....it's in the mid 70's today. Eat your heart out you folks in Cleveland. Snow is cool but DAMN.

Very nice. i gotta ask about the windscreen though... is it intentional? I love the flush doors, you should do a no handled electric unlock. Thats exactly the style im aiming for!

Scratch that... read your site- you did do the pop lock! now i love you even more
