Seam Covers Which Ones to Get

I need to replace my seam covers mainly because the seams are rusting from inside of the covers.

Looking at 7 enterprises they claim that the genuine replacement seam covers are much better than the aftermarket ones. There is a pretty big price difference between the two so I am wondering what makes the genuine replacement that much better? Has anyone used the cheaper ones?

I also saw that mini mania has chrome seam covers. I'm not sold yet on how they would look. Does anyone have a picture with these installed?

I need to replace all 4 of the seam covers and need to replace the rear quarters on both sides so I'd like to save a few bucks on this order if I can.

chrome is a matter of choice, whenever a supplier says genuine, they usually fit right and las a little longer. Don't forget to buy stainless clips to attach them. You'll need at least 8 for each.
contact Heritagegarage.com if you want an opinion on which ones to buy.

This should explain

I did not even realize that there are clips. The ones on the car now have a rivet and a spot weld just below it at both ends. Are they easily removable with the clips?

Are seam covers necessary? They seem like they are rust promoters, not inhibiters...but what do I know other than they blow off at 100 MPH or better.
