That is not an issue with me unless it is an issue to find parts for?

Wanted to add that I am not looking for a powerhouse ( I was quite happy with my Sprite's 948 ) but if this is an oddball motor for the year or there is something bad about this particular engine, please let me know.. I can't even pretend to be an expert on all the available engines and set ups for Minis.

Thanks for the info. My cars are all little run to the market and cruise type cars so power is not an issue but 50 MPH doesn't give you much room to work with, my Sprite would easily do 65 without any problems. Just like I thought....it is not the car for me. I can say it caught my eye but so far I have not found one to woo me away from my current infatuation.
