New mini is a lemon...best way to find an old one????

Long story short in 2 years we've had over 48 warranty repairs.... Ive been lied to, called a liar and laughed at. I'm done 04 mini for sale.

So... the wife is sad. It was her fav. little car. So to make her happy I figure we could get a Civic Si or an S2000, and have money for a original mini on the side perhaps?

What's a good price for one in decent shape? I'm also interested in doing some custom motor work if the rest of the drive-train could handle some more hp. I'm assuming the 998cc motor is pretty weak, but is it turbo friendly cause i have an extra little turbo laying around, I did my own turbo setup on my s2000 and feel fairly confident. I'd like to throw 5psi at it and pick up 30-40hp+.

More importantly I just want one, I can worry about that other stuff later, so whats the best place to come up one one, and whats the cost?

Thx much everyone!!!!

If you're going to put a turbo on it I'd recommend getting a 1275cc or higher engine. MiniMania.com is a good place to look for a classic. That's where I found mine at.

Don't buy one off ebay unseen, unless you like to do body work..
