it depends on which frame you get. as of now, mini tec offers frames to support the d, b, and k series of honda vtec motors. from an oem point of view, the k series will offer the most amount of hp.
Hi thanks boister77 heres the thing im going build my own frame its what i do and its going to fit in round nose front end with no mods to the body work. thanks mike
not sure if you can fit it without moding the front end......maybe if you bring the fire wall farther back but not sure........never ventured off into the vtec minis........
I would really love to see you get the VTec in without and mods to the body. The Clubman is the only classic body style Mini I know you can put a VTec without mods. We be waiting to see your pictures.
It is possible to fit the Honda Vtec in a standard length round nose Mini with a special radiator but is much easier to do in a LH drive Mini due to the Mini steering rack pinion housing clearance to the Vtec gearbox housing. Everything you need to know is on this website and DVD :- 16Vminiclub.com
for what its worth, here's a build thread on my mini pickup, which utilizes a d-series Vtec w/oem hood & fenders. Same thing can be done with the B-series, which can produce 200+hp if you like. Mine will be a wimpy 135ish hp. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=113991
