V-Tec Mini conversion question

I bought a Mini project from a guy in Colorado and part of what I bought was a front subframe that is custom built to put a Honda b series engine in it. It is NOT a Minitec setup. I need to ask the guy who built it a few questions but I can remember his name. Does anyone know of anyone in the USA besides Minitec who builds these front subframes. This subframe was on ebay last week and has the name of the builder in the auction but I didn't watch the auction and the auction was cancelled because the seller and I worked out a deal. Can anyone help me? I would contact the guy who I bought it from but he moved out of the country and doesnt have access to email.

Thanks
Devin

Steve Alexander. Search for him on google as he also builds spearguns so he should be easy to find. He's "S.Alexander" or "SAlexander" over on Minimania. There's also Bryan Cambell (sp?) who makes 'em. He is on Minimania as well, but I'm not sure if he's still making subframes or not.

Good luck with your project. That's becoming quite a popular swap to do into the Classic Mini.

Vtech, V-tech, VTEC, V-tec, Vtec, vTEC... you guys crack me up! It's all alphabet soup anyway. plenty of Mini folks can't even get their own MINI Mini branding figured out... Why should we know the variations of rice? Silly me, I just discovered the term Bini, which for me works much better than MINI. "MINI" feels like marketing gone too far. Maybe if Bini never catches on, do you think M-ini would work? BTW, in the VTEC sector of this planet, there are conversions called mini-me's... Now that C-ould get confusing as we embrace these Bi-racial cars.

Mini me is (I think) a non-VTEC block with a VTEC head on it. Integra LS block with B16A2 head for example. There's also iVTEC.

I read somewhere that BMW doesn't want people to use "MINI" anymore (after insisting upon it when the new MINI launched)... now it's just Mini again. (sigh)

(Bavarian Racing Green) Hahahaha... that cracked ME up

Oh man... just when I was joking, this is for real? Now I really think we should form a grass roots level campaign to change it to "Bini".

And for the VTEKies, let's not leave out VTEC-E.
